UbiArt Framework is a 2.5D engine developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, released in 2010. The engine has brought Rayman Origins, and other games throughout it's existence. Developers have also added more features that were later introduced in Rayman Legends, and future games such as Child of Light, Valiant Hearts: the Great War, etc. The purpose of the engine is to 'bring art to life' and organize images and graphics into a playable video game.
The engine supports Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Sony PlayStation 3 and more.
The original core of the engine is written in C++ 1), whereas the engine itself appears to migrate code in LUA.2)
